Tinton Falls EMS-South responded to Asbury Park for a multi-alarm fire. At approximately 2:20pm Tinton Falls EMS South was dispatched to the scene of a working tractor trailer fire. Squad 36-23 was on scene and had requested a second ambulance to respond. Crews remained on scene while fire personnel from Tinton Falls and Shrewsbury worked to extinguish the fire. Ambulance 36-2-60 and 36-3-58 cleared the scene about an hour later.
At 11:00pm Tinton Falls EMS South was dispatched to 109 North on the Garden State Parkway for a vehicle fire. At 11:30pm, while still on scene, there was a motor vehicle accident with an overturned car less than a half mile south of the vehicle fire. Crews from ambulances 36-2-60 and 36-2-61 along with captain 36-2-50 handled both calls.
At approximately 2:20am the squad was dispatched to the Asbury Park Toll Plaza for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Ambulances 36-2-60 and 36-2-61 responded to the Parkway along with members of Wayside Fire Company. Fire crews worked for about 30 minutes to free the victims from the vehicle. Once free, the squad transported the victims to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
At approximately 9:30pm the squad was requested to respond to the Tinton Falls Senior Residence for a gas leak, along with borough fire companies. Ambulances 36-2-60 and 36-2-61 responded to the scene and assisted one patient. Crews were on scene for approximately one hour before being released by the fire company.
